As probable, the new Astra‘s outdoor styling echoes that of the well usual Insignia with facts such as the smooth of the headlamps, the roofline and the dipped sprouting on the doors all pointing towards the superior Opel. Overall, the new Astra highlight looks sportier and more dynamic in an upscale variety of way compared to the modern generation brand.

While Opel has yet to relief photos of the interior, before spy shots bare that the Astra’s interior is acutely inspired from the Insignia with the dash featuring four deeply positioned instrument dials in front of the driver and a swoopy essential console with a high minor part.

All three variants of the Astra are based on GM‘s new front-wheel-push Delta platform that is also found on the Chevrolet Cruze and Chevy Volt models. However, from what we learned, the bodywork has been modified by Opel’s engineers to submit more dynamic treatment to Opel’s trio.

The 5-door hatchback versions of the newly urbanized Astra will find their way to Opel showrooms across Europe by the end of the year, while the GTC sedan and the Estate variants should result by mid-2010.
